Twisting Around

Three new things out at Oddment [SLURL]

Fairy cages! Both large and small, on hooks or chain alone for hanging from your trees/bridges/etc. The large cage has a pose (made by me!) for displaying your captured fairies.


Also: voodoo dolls to wear on your shoulder (name them after whoever you feel like sticking pins in this week!), and it's Twisted Krissmuss! Come down and purchase a transfer Santa Lucia crown with posing candle (comes in a pretty red and green gift box).

The Shopatorium @ Gallinas is having a week-long post-Thanksgiving Turkey Trot hunt, running from November 30 to December 6. Oddment has two BRAND NEW items to find. A new one prim field of poinsettias, and a silly unisex top hat with a snowman on top--who is wearing another, TINER top hat with another, TINIER snowman on top:


You're looking for whole turkeys, and turkey legs. Many other cool shops @ the Shoppa are participating, so come down and hunt!

Also, two new wintery/holiday items up for sale at the shop. A wintery tree with touch toggle falling stars, and a set of holiday lights--copy, so you can decorate your entire ginormous mansion!

I've also revamped the shop and put in 7seas fishing! I just put it in, so no customs yet, but I am working on some I think will be lots of fun. There's also a roof garden, and a snowy area with all the new flowers on display. Come on down and check it out. [SLURL].

I've also moved my satellite shop at the Shopatorium to a corner shop right next to the Patio live music venue. I think it's really cute. Come on over and hear some music and shop around! [SLURL]

AND Oddment is in the grid-wide Peace on Earth hunt which starts December 1st. I did this hunt as a hunter last year before Oddment was even born, and had a great time. So I am very glad to be able to participate as a merchant this year.

My prize is a Christmas box-- a diorama-style box with a wintery scene inside. Falling particle snow, a texture-change on touch Christmas tree, and a static couple pose for taking photos. Touch the snowman to get a candle to hold in the poses!

I spent some time experimenting with one prim flower fields, and have two in release today:



Both are modify, and can be resized from 10x10m down, and are copy, so rez a whole meadow! 100L each.

I've also made a couple of boxy things to sit on:



The chair has three animated sits, and the ottoman has one nice animated kneel. Color change on touch, with seven jewel tones to choose from. Change the cushion and base separately. Both are copy/mod, no trans. Chair: 150L, Ottoman: 75L, or both for 200L.

And two freebies on the 1L or less wall at the main store location (on the third floor):



The second freebie is a Sperm Gun, which shoots uh. Sperm. Not shown to protect delicate sensibilities. *coughs in a ladylike manner* You'll just have to go to the shop to see!

Two sets for Halloween:

A set of jack-o-lanterns I made for Rosie and are now available for you! And also a sugar skull set that you can get for FREE from the lucky board at my main store (or you can just buy them if you don't wanna wait for your letter to come up). The lucky board is on the second floor.

The big news first: Oddment is moving! I was land-hopping around last week and found a spot I just kept going back to. And... I bought it. It's a really pretty plot on the Linden road (and waterway!). I've put up a new store build, along with some new items for sale. Please do go and check it out! (And if you go exploring along the road, it's very near a cool underwater tunnel.)

I haven't moved the lucky boards yet, or closed the Low Dryston location, as I am waiting till the end of the Twisted Hunt. Which happens to be tomorrow night! If you haven't gone by to get the Twisted items, I've made the box REALLY BIG and obvious. Heh. Go get the stuff, 'cos after tomorrow, it goes on sale.

And, I've got some new things out at the new store:







They are out at the new store, and also my Shopatorium location (I've moved to a smaller shop there: straight back from the rez point, near the Patio live music venue!).

I made a little tattoo commemorating my recent surgery. "Surgery Stars" shows where the five new holes in my body are located.

AKA, groggy, percocet-fueled ramblings on what I did for Labor Day weekend.


So on Thursday, I went to the doctor for some severe back pain. They ran some tests, got that concerned look on their faces, prodded at my back and tummy, then pumped me full of dilaudid and sent me up to have my innards looked at with the ultrasound.

An hour or two later, they admitted me for surgery.

I was groggy, and confused, and in pain, and had a million thoughts running through my head. One of which was, who's gonna tell my fake pixel friends? I had my cell phone, but it's a dinosaur--can only text, and barely that. I've never been dissatisfied with it, 'cos I've never needed more than a plain phone that can just make and receive calls.

I texted a friend and went into surgery (they removed my gallbladder, which I didn't even know was unhappy with me, but the surgeon said was 'as hot as she's ever seen without bursting').

I came home then next evening and did what any modern girl would do, I checked my email. I had messages and private plurks and offline IMs up the wazoo.

And the next day, I received flowers. Two real arrangements from two pixel friends. I am right now looking at huge sunflowers from a pixel friend I never ever thought to cross such a line with. Real, tangible flowers from a real, physical person behind the pixels.



It's overwhelming. Still.

People who know me online know that I guard my privacy religiously. I don't like sharing more than is minimally necessary.

But this... these few moments of real lives touching... it's incredibly moving.
